Three Westchester County Chapters of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc hosted an event Saturday at Mount Vernon STEAM Academy.

The event was titled "From Surviving to Thriving: A Day of Mindfulness and Restoration."

It featured motivational speakers, yoga, interactive workshops, African Dance, brunch and vendors.

Topics highlighted during the event included mental health, anxiety, stress and depression.
