Gov. Andrew Cuomo could be facing additional fallout in Westchester County after the report from Attorney General Letitia James found that he sexually harassed current and former New York state employees by engaging in unwelcomed and nonconsensual touching.

Westchester District Attorney Mimi Rocah says her office has sent a letter to James requesting materials related to the case.

Rocah said in a statement, “Yesterday our office became aware of the final independent report from Attorney General Letitia James' office regarding Governor Andrew Cuomo's conduct. As some of the Governor's conduct described in the report occurred in Westchester County, we have formally requested investigative materials obtained by the AG's Office.”

The attorney general’s report lays out a series of inappropriate touching and comments the governor made to a state trooper assigned to protect him at his former home in Mount Kisco. Some instances in the report include comments about the way she dressed, running a finger down her back and unwanted kissing over several years.

Dan Schorr, a former sex-crimes prosecutor, says he believes Rocah is looking for evidence of possible forcible touching, which he says is 'touching someone's intimate areas without their consent either to degrade or to sexually abuse them.'

Schorr adds that the misdemeanor carries a one-year maximum jail sentence.
