All eyes are on the president Thursday as he heads to New York City.
President Joe Biden is expected to tour NYPD headquarters and address the spike in gun violence in the city.
A local activist group says New York needs an answer.
The YWCA in Westchester is working to end gun violence from an early age.
Charlie Knight, the CEO of the nonprofit that helps local at-risk youth, has a program specifically to target gun prevention.
"How do we stop people from bringing guns into New York? Or into New York City?" asks Knight.
That is the question Knight is hoping President Biden will answer on his visit to the city.
The program exposes children and teenagers to local entrepreneurs who have been affected by gun violence - and found a way out.
The YWCA teaches the youth life skills and helps them find practical career paths to follow.
