Chef Vinnie Olivieri, of Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace, shows News 12's Lily Stolzberg how to make Sunday sauce.
INGREDIENTS:
4 ea. Italian beef meatballs
4 ea. sausage links
4 ea. country style pork ribs
2 qt marinara sauce
4 oz olive oil
DIRECTIONS:
· Add 2 oz of oil to a sauté pan on medium heat. (You may add the remainder of oil as needed while searing the meat.)
· Once oil is hot, add the pork ribs and sear making sure you have achieved a golden-brown color on all sides.
· Once you have reached your desired color remove it from the oil and set aside.
· Next add the sausage links, and sear making sure you have achieved a golden-brown color on all sides.
· Once you have reached your desired color remove it from the oil and set aside.
· Next add the meatballs, and sear making sure you have achieved a golden-brown color on all sides.
· Once you have reached your desired color remove it from the oil and set aside.
· Place all the meat in an oven safe pan.
· Pour the marinara on top of the meat making sure that the meat is completely submerged in sauce.
· Cover tightly and cook at 325 deg. For 1 ½ hours.
