X20 – a staple restaurant on the Yonkers waterfront – has shut down.
A spokesman for the state Department of Taxation and Finance confirms the restaurant was seized on Friday.
The department says they make every effort to work with taxpayers to get them into compliance with their obligations under the law, but it does require the business to make a good faith effort to address tax debts.
Chef and owner Peter X. Kelly owns several restaurants in the Hudson Valley. The Yonkers native is well-known for his charitable work throughout the region.
News 12 has been attempting to reach X20’s parent company for a comment but has not been able to yet.
