A Yonkers man is among the 25,000 Americans stuck in Lebanon and Israel waiting for a full-scale evacuation to begin. Robert MacFarlane was in Beirut for about a week on business when the violence erupted. MacFarlane spoke with News 12 Westchester Monday. He said he's safe and trying to stay calm, but each day his frustration grows as the evacuation plans fail to get underway. The 62-year-old says he feels safe for now and says he is amazed at how Lebanese families are carrying on with their lives. There is still no word on when the evacuation will take place. MacFarlane and others have only been told to get ready and await further instructions.
