The city of Yonkers lost 26 residents in the Sept. 11 attacks.
On Saturday, city residents honored the friends, family members, and neighbors who never returned home that day.
During the annual 9/11 memorial on the Yonkers waterfront, families also remembered those that died due to health effects from ground zero, and those who died in the Afghanistan war.
The city of Yonkers is adding two new memorials at the monument to recognize more lives lost from the impacts of Sept. 11.
