Yorktown canceled its New Year's Eve celebrations due to rising cases of COVID-19 statewide.
The town had planned a ball drop of its own, complete with a live DJ and a fireworks display.
Unfortunately, COVID-19 concerns have put an end to that. The safety of residents is a top priority.
White Plains also canceled its New Year's event for the second year in a row.
