Two bus lines in The Bronx were recognized for their poor service by an annual survey conducted by the Straphangers' Campaign.
The Bx19 bus won the "Pokey Award" for being the slowest local bus route in the borough. Some riders complained of waiting almost an hour for a bus to reach their stops.
The Bx41 received the "Schleppie Award" for being the least reliable bus line in The Bronx, and many commuters agreed with that assessment.
"The buses are never on time," says rider David Roman. "It's really hard and difficult to be able to move around on the 41 bus."
Not all Bronx buses were singled out for poor service. The Bx12 select bus was recognized for having service that runs 51 percent faster than the local buses.
