Two Monroe Town councilmen were taken to the hospital Wednesday after an altercation during a budget meeting at DeAngelis Town Hall, police say.
The wife of Councilman Harley Doles says her husband was attacked by Councilman Jim Rogers after he questioned a town board meeting he was being excluded from.
"Jim Rogers picked my husband up, threw him against the chair, and my husband fell over backwards," Maria Doles says.
She adds that her husband, who has a pacemaker, is now suffering from neck and back pain.
Doles and Rogers have been treated and released from Good Samaritan Hospital. Police says so far no arrests have been made.
