Three Harriman police officers
helped make a special delivery overnight.
Officers Edward Josefowitz, Michael
Biagini, and Francis Burns helped deliver a healthy baby girl on Brookside
Drive just after 2 a.m.
Officials say the officers responded
to a 911 call of a woman in labor. When they arrived, the
baby just couldn’t wait.
“Each officer just jumped into
action and assisted in helping the baby get there," said Harriman Police
Chief Patrick Tenaglia. "We were there for about seven minutes prior to
the ambulance responding so we were able to deliver the baby.”
Officials say mom and baby were
transported to the hospital by ambulance and are doing just fine.
