Dutchess, Ulster and Rockland counties are all receiving a huge boost from the state for transitional and emergency housing.

The three areas are receiving $33 million to create new housing for residents. Overall, the money will help with 11 different projects across the state.

The projects aim to create permanent supportive housing for families experiencing homelessness, including veterans and domestic abuse survivors.
