A 421-unit residential apartment building is set to open along the I-287 Corridor’s “Platinum Mile” in Harrison.
Harrison Mayor Ron Belmont says he watched buildings like the ones at the “Platinum Mile” remain vacant for decades. He says he is now looking forward to a revitalization.
"We've been working on this for about four or five years. It's exciting. Not only for the town of Harrison, but for the entire area,” he says.
The building at 103-105 Corporate Park Drive will soon be called Carraway. It will house 421 luxury apartment rentals with retail shops, a gym, a parking garage and even a pet spa.
Although pricing for the apartments is not yet finalized, the developer estimates a one-bedroom could run up to $1,800 a month and a two-bedroom could go for $2,500.
The grand opening for the building is set for mid-2020. If the Harrison Town Board signs off on a Wegmans Supermarket just a few hundred feet away, it would open a few months before Carraway.
