A new study has found that two
doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine are 70% effective against the omicron
variant.
The study out of South Africa says the
two Pfizer doses are 70% effective at preventing hospitalization and
33% effective at preventing infections.
The study was performed by South
Africa Insurance Company Discovery Limited and examined about 78,000 omicron
cases from Nov. 15 to Dec. 7.
They say the protection is the same
across age groups and illness.
