News 12 has confirmed that the assistant principal at Louis Klein Middle School in Harrison has been removed from his position after an investigation into the theft of medications.
Scott Spector, who had been on the job since 2015, is no longer listed on the school district's website.
School Superintendent Louis Wool did not release Spector's name but confirmed that an investigation found that some medication vials were missing from the nurse's office. Working with the Harrison Police Department, authorities identified the employee responsible for the theft.
According to Wool, the individual no longer has access to the schools. However, he referred questions about potential charges to the police department.
The Harrison police chief has not returned calls for comment.
