Authorities: Dutchess County man sentenced to 30 days behind bars for role in Capitol riots

Authorities say he was seen walking out of the Capitol holding a Donald Trump flag and a red hat.

A Dutchess County man has been sentenced to 30 days behind bars for his role in the January 2021 Capitol riots.
Pawling resident William Vogel, 29, pleaded guilty in January to parading, demonstrating or picketing in a Capitol building.
Authorities say he was seen walking out of the Capitol holding a Donald Trump flag and a red hat.
The U.S. Attorney's office in Washington D.C. says he was also sentenced to three years of probation and fined $500.
