Health care workers have until Monday to get a COVID vaccine booster - or they could lose their jobs.
About a dozen nurses joined gubernatorial candidate Rob Astorino outside Westchester Medical Center Wednesday to protest the mandate, and called on Gov. Kathy Hochul to lift the booster mandate.
New York is the first state in the country to mandate COVID vaccine boosters.
About 34,000 health care workers lost their jobs after the state's first vaccine mandate.
Those who complied with the initial mandate say imposing a new one isn't fair for them or safe for patient care.
Data from the state Health Department shows only 43% of hospital workers at Westchester Medical Center had been boosted as of last week.
