A Delta Airlines Boeing 767 had to make an emergency landing at John F. Kennedy International Airport after its slide fell off during takeoff.

Delta says flight 520 was heading to Los Angeles when pilots were alerted about the emergency slide on the right side of the plane.

They heard an unusual sound coming from the area. The Federal Aviation Administration says the crew reported a vibration.
