The Department of Motor Vehicles has cited more than 300 people across the state for trying to use fake IDs to buy alcohol over the summer.

A total of 389 fake licenses were seized. compared to 550 citations last year.

The agency says it works with summer concert venues to check for fake IDs.

Members of the DMV's field investigations division are also trained on how to spot a fake license.
