A facility dog at Fieldstone Middle School in North Rockland will become the first to receive full teacher tenure on Tuesday, school leaders say.
The dog, Maybie, helps students manage anxiety, stress disorders and more, school leaders say.
The school is holding a special ceremony in the courtyard to highlight her accomplishment.
It’s happening at 5 p.m. on Tuesday.
