An Eastchester bakery owner is starting fresh with a new store after the pandemic forced him to close his former shop.
Farouk Fadla opened Paradise Bakery and Coffee today on Mill Road.
Fadla owned Chester Heights Pastry for nearly two decades.
"This bakery, Chester Heights, existed for more than 100 years,” says Fadla. “I’m the third owner of this bakery and I stayed for 15 years after I closed, and I opened again and I hope everything is going good."
The once-struggling small business owner now has high hopes to start a new era in light of the progress made since the pandemic began.
News 12 is told the owner is looking forward to serving the same tasty baked items that customers have enjoyed in the past.
