A former executive director for one of Pace University's donor relations and fundraising programs in New York was sentenced to 35 years in prison for multiple child pornography crimes, including participation in the sexual abuse of a 6-year-old.
Scott Lane, 37, was sentenced Thursday for participating in a live-streamed video of a 6-year-old boy being abused in Pennsylvania.
Investigators say Lane not only watched, but encouraged the perpetrator to "sexually abuse the boy for everyone to watch."
The incident occurred in 2015 when Lane was employed at Pace's Manhattan campus as executive director of its donor relations and fundraising.
When Lane was arrested in 2016, the university fired and banned him from its campuses.
The Manhattan man pleaded guilty to six counts of child pornography crimes, including conspiracy to produce and production of child pornography.
Lane was sentenced in Pennsylvania - where the crime happened - to 35 years in prison, 15 years of supervised release and $50,000 restitution to the victim.
