Westchester families whose loved ones were trapped on a stranded cruise ship off the coast of Mexico are elated the ordeal is finally over.
A group of about 50 seniors from Yonkers were among the 3,300 guests who had been living without air conditioning, phones and hot food after an engine fire knocked out power to the entire ship Monday morning.
The ship arrived in San Diego today after being pulled by six tugboats.
"We just can't wait for her to come back. I'm sure she's going to have stories to tell us," says Donna Marques, whose 78-year-old grandmother was on the ship.
