? A brand new home being constructed in Chestnut Ridge now stands as a pile of rubble after a fire, which is being called suspicious, ripped through the structure.
The fire began just before 7 a.m. Saturday when a neighbor driving down the street spotted the blaze and alerted the authorities. Police say the flames ripped through the structure leaving nothing. But police say the fire could have been worse because of the surrounding wooded area.
The Rockland County arson unit is now investigating the fire to determine the cause.
