Family and friends gathered in New City Wednesday for the funeral of Karesse Ebron. The 16-year-old from Spring Valley was murdered June 13. Her accused killer, 22-year-old Ryan Ross, allegedly admitted to the crime, telling police he hit the girl in the head with a baseball bat because Ebron told him she was pregnant with his child. Ebron was missing for two weeks before Ross allegedly led police to her body in the woods off Route 45 in Pomona. Members of Ebron?s family say they remember a girl with a big smile who looked after her brothers. Now, they will look after her memory.
