Many Westchester and Hudson Valley residents were out early Monday to dig out from the weekend snowstorm.
The storm dumped up to two feet of snow in some areas of Westchester and the Hudson Valley. Folks who began shoveling Monday after the storm say once they broke through the first few inches of ice, the dig was easy.
Road crews worked overnight to plow and sand the roads. However, drivers are urged to use caution because some roads are slick and have patches of ice. Meanwhile, Metro-North commuters can expect delays up to 30 minutes on some lines.
