The Andy Murphy Neighborhood Center in Kingston will close temporarily starting next week for asbestos and lead removal, expected to take two months.

All programs will be relocated or canceled during this period. The Parks and Recreation Department will operate from the former Visitor's Center at 20 Broadway until the work is completed.

Following the removal, the building will undergo additional renovations, including the installation of new bleachers and playground equipment.
