An adult store in West Nyack used bikini-clad girls in a kiddie pool as an advertising ploy, prompting outrage among residents.

The Romantic Depot, which is now called The Bedroom, is located on Route 59 across from the Palisades Mall. On Saturday, the women held banners to inform nearby mall and grocery shoppers about the store?s grand reopening. Many complained to Legislator V.J. Pradhan, who had himself driven by.

Pradhan calls it obscene advertising, but the manager at The Bedroom says it's nothing anyone wouldn't have seen at the beach. A spokesperson for the store apologized if the business disrespected anyone in the community, and added that wasn't the intention.

Pradhan is currently looking into a law to stop what he calls obscene advertising.
