A Suffern homeowner who has his house for sale is offering prospective buyers a unique perk.
George Gabrielson, who held an open house Sunday, says the buyer of his 100-year-old Prairie Avenue home will also get a $12,000 credit toward the purchase of a new car.
Gabrielson wants to sell the home without a realtor so he doesn't have to pay commission, and calls the home-car deal his very own "stimulus plan."
And for those prospective buyers not interested in a new car, Gabrielson says the $12,000 credit can be used toward other expenses such as closing costs or new furniture.
The open house will continue Monday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
