A new mobile food pantry is set to hit the roads in Port Chester and Ossining thanks to a community development block grant from Westchester County.
Caritas of Port Chester, a neighborhood soup kitchen and food pantry, received more than $287,000 to buy the van.
The organization will use the vehicle for its Meals on Main Street program, which delivers groceries, fresh produce and meals to residents who cannot go out to get food themselves.
