Monroe jewelry store robbery caught on tape

Police are on the hunt Thursday for a robber who was caught on surveillance video pulling off a heist of a Monroe jewelry store.
The robbery took place early in the morning at Cyrus Jewelry on Route 17M. According to police, the burglar cut a hole in the roof of the store and set off the alarm. However, when police arrived everything looked normal since the suspect was hiding in the rafters. After the police left, the burglar made off with $50,000 in cash, $20,000 in gems and tens of thousands of dollars in jewelry.
