The MTA is bringing more bathrooms to subway stations across the city after they were closed off during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The bathrooms have been reopening on a rolling basis, and there are 128 subway station bathrooms that are now available for commuters who have to go on the go.

According to the MTA's website, seven stations in the Bronx and 21 stations in Brooklyn have bathrooms open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. They say that many of these bathrooms have received upgrades, including new faucets and hand dryers.

Commuters are excited to see bathrooms back in the subway system and weigh in on what needs to be focused on with their return.

"In general, cleanliness should be the No. 1," said one subway rider. "Government should spend so much money on cleanliness, it keeps you healthy."

Google Maps now provides details on which subway stations have available bathrooms across the five boroughs.
