A retired Army colonel from New Rochelle has been awarded the Bronze Star for his service in Afghanistan.
Richard Gulley received the medal during a ceremony at City Hall, presented by Rep. George Latimer.
Gulley earned the honor for his 2010 deployment.
He plans to meet with the mayor to discuss ways to support local veterans and educate young people about military service.
