Orangetown Judge Patrick Loftus issued a bench warrant for 20-year-old Thomas A. Robb of England after he missed his court date on Monday.
Robb is facing several charges including leaving the scene of an accident, which is a felony.
Robb was out after making $25,000 bail.
The multicar crash happened on July 30 on Route 303 in Blauvelt.
Police say Robb had been driving the wrong way down a one-way portion of Greenbush Road.
Lawrence McMannis, of Mahwah, New Jersey, is still injured because of the crash.
"Well, he's a coward," said McMannis. "He needs to answer to the court right now. He needs to answer to what he has done."
