The Orange County Health Department has issued a boil water advisory for several West Point buildings.
West Point Garrison and Community says it doesn't suspect any water contamination but that a series of system failures during the night of Dec. 5 led to low water pressure. The pressure dropped so low that it triggered a boil water notice.
Officials urge people to boil water for drinking, making ice, washing dishes, brushing teeth and prepping food.
The system will be reinspected on Thursday after the mandatory 48-hour waiting period. The notice is expected to be lifted by midday Thursday.
