Orangetown is joining a national campaign to combat both the use of fake IDs and underage drinking, in general, by asking anyone purchasing liquor to present a minimum of two forms of identification.
Orangetown liquor vendors were invited to a seminar at Pearl River High School this week to kick off their "Only Two Will Do" campaign and learn how to spot fake IDs.
A DMV fraud expert showed vendors the improvements made to driver's licenses that makes them counterfeit proof if you know what to look for.
Orangetown is the first municipality in Rockland to take part in the campaign.
