and 16.
Clarkstown Town Supervisor Alex Gromack said that the work was originally scheduled for Monday but delays forced CSX to move the work to next week.
The eight-hour project will prevent some residents from leaving or returning to their home between those working hours. Gromack said the Clarkstown Police Department is working out a plan that would allow residents to park along Western Highway and then be allowed to walk across the tracks with a police officer escorting them.
Gromack adds a contingency plan has been set up in the event of an emergency.
The entire project is expected to take no longer than eight hours and is being split up between the two days. There will be no trains running along the Pine View Road tracks during the project. Commuters should check their schedules and plan accordingly.
