Signs posted in a store window that denounce Rockland candidates who support abortion rights and bear photos of dead fetuses have upset some merchants and residents in Piermont.
Richard Bruno, 69, said he hung the signs on his office on Piermont Avenue because he is against county tax dollars being used to fund Planned Parenthood. Two of the signs attack both Rockland County Executive Scott Vanderhoef and his challenger Ellen Jaffee. Bruno says both candidates support funding for Planned Parenthood.
However, many residents and storeowners found the pictures disturbing and inappropriate. One merchant says if someone wants to express his opinion with words that?s fine, but says the graphic photos are just wrong.
