Police arrested a man they believe is responsible for stealing a car in Mount Vernon.

A patrolman found a stolen vehicle and a loaded firearm during a routine check near Gramatan Avenue Wednesday.

A Bronx man was arrested in connection to the incident following a brief foot chase.

Police say the suspect had the key for the vehicle, two fake drivers licenses and several debit cards with different names.
