Police in Carmel say a 35-year-old Cortlandt Manor man is dead after a crash on Wednesday.

Police say they responded to an accident involving one vehicle and one occupant.

They say they found that the SUV was traveling eastbound on New York State Route 301 in the area of Gipsy Trail Road.

It is there were investigators say the vehicle veered off the roadway and struck a utility pole before it flipped onto its roof.

The driver, whom police identified as Andrew Pesavento, was found unconscious and was later pronounced dead.
