Liberty police say they have arrested a man in a triple-stabbing incident.
They say Darwin Benegas-Ortiz, 38, was arrested after they responded to a report that he had a knife on School Street on Sunday. Upon arrival, officers found two male victims suffering from apparent laceration and puncture wounds to the neck and abdomen. Shortly after, they received a report of a third stabbing victim who had left School Street and was at a private residence on Chestnut Street. That victim suffered a stab wound to the chest.
Police were able to identify and arrest Banegas-Ortiz after an investigation. He faces multiple charges including attempted murder and assault.
