Rescuers save man after jump from Route 59 overpass

Rescuers deployed their special operations unit to access the patient from 50 feet below Route 59, along a creek, at approximately 11:15 p.m.

Members of Spring Hill Community Ambulance are being credited with saving a man after rescuers say he jumped from an overpass in Spring Valley Thursday night.
Rescuers deployed their special operations unit to access the patient from 50 feet below Route 59, along a creek, at approximately 11:15 p.m.
Officials with Spring Hill say the victim was safely removed and provided emergency care.
He was transported to Westchester Medical Center and is expected to survive.
The Hillcrest Fire Department and Spring Valley police provided additional assistance during the emergency effort.
