Rockland County is making sure children will be safe from sexual predators on Halloween.
For the third year, the county has implemented a program called ?Project Halloween.? As part of the plan, law enforcement will make routine stops to ensure that convicted sex offenders are at home and not participating in trick-or-treat activities. Also, there will be a strictly enforced curfew for sex offenders during Halloween.
County officials say the project is effective because it keeps sexual predators on their toes and holds them accountable.
