? Muslim, Jewish and Christian leaders gathered Friday to promote peace at the Riverdale Jewish Center in the Bronx after four Newburgh men were arrested for allegedly plotting to blow up the synagogue.
The men are being held at the Westchester County Jail after investigators accused them of forming a plot to blow up two Bronx synagogues and shoot down military planes in Orange County.
Rabbi Jonathan Rosenblatt of the Riverdale Jewish Center says the interfaith service is an attempt to send a message that peace and tolerance will overcome evil and hatred.
"When one house of worship is targeted all houses of worship are targeted," says Rosenblatt.
Officials say the four suspects apparently went to a mosque in Newburgh, but those attending today's interfaith gathering say the men misunderstood the true teachings of Islam.
