A unique partnership between a burger chain and a Haverstraw school led to a fundraiser to help kids with special needs.
Profits earned Thursday and Friday at the Smashburger in Nanuet are being donated to the Hilltop School, which houses kids with special needs in grades K through eight.
The company will donate 20 percent of what its customers spend if they mention the Hilltop School. Students were even able to get in on the fun and had a great time.
School officials say they hope to raise $1,000 for their library through the donations from Smashburger.
