A strike by SUEZ Water employees was averted when workers and management reached a new contract agreement.
A SUEZ spokesman says SUEZ and the union representing the workers reached a tentative agreement Monday on a new collective bargaining agreement.
A union spokesman says the contract helps workers and
customers.
It runs until 2025.
The Local 1-2 union represents 51 employees. Their contract had been set to expire at midnight.
SUEZ provides water service to 200,000 customers in Westchester County.
