Hundreds of bicyclists gathered Sunday for the 35th annual Tour de Goshen, but this year was different.
Organizer Brian Dunlevy says the event is the final ride.
The popular Joe Fix It second-generation owner says nearly 600 people participated in the mileslong bike ride through the Goshen area.
The event raised almost $50,000 to benefit programs and services for people with disabilities through Inspire.
Dunlevy says this year’s sunset ride was bittersweet.
“My wife has been looking forward to this decision for at least 15 years maybe more. I’m nearing 70 next year, so it’s time. I’m not leaving the store or anything, but it’s time to go.”
The Tour de Goshen started back in 1988.
Dunlevy says it’s raised $500,000 for local charities over the years.
