The Town of Newburgh is mourning the loss of their deputy police chief.
Deputy Chief Lt. Robert DeSaye died of a rare, aggressive cancer.
Lt. DeSaye worked in numerous multiple police agencies through almost 25 years, the last 20 years have been with the Town of Newburgh Police Department.
He leaves behind a wife, daughter and son.
