Many people clip coupons to save money, but few can compare to a Valley Cottage woman who has turned her prolific hobby into charity.
Annie Foldvary-DeSousa, dubbed ?the coupon queen? has been clipping coupons to save money on groceries for decades. She looks for items on sale, uses lots of coupons and winds up just having to pay the tax on the items. Foldvary-DeSousa tells of one store run where the bill totaled $62.38. She only ended up paying $2.85. Foldvary-DeSousa then donates the groceries to Saint Paul's Food Cupboard in Congers.
Foldvary-DeSousa?s hobby was put on hold following a terrible car crash in May. She's still not able to drive herself to the grocery stores, but somehow the coupon queen finds a way to continue doing what she loves. Those reaping the benefits of her kindness say they are eternally grateful.
