Walkill police announced they are hiring part time dispatchers to join the department.

They say applicants must be 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Those applying must also have strong communication skills and the ability to multitask.

The department is offering 14 paid holidays and yearly contractual wage increases.
